Shared Gateways - Overview

Shared Gateway Architecture

This version introduces support for Shared Gateways, allowing multiple virtual gateway instances to run on a single high-capacity machine using container-based architecture:

  • Single Host, Multiple Gateways: Deploy multiple logically isolated gateways on one server to serve different sites or tenants.
  • Resource Optimization: Maximize hardware utilization by consolidating gateway deployments.
  • Operational Efficiency: Streamline management by reducing physical or VM sprawl while maintaining secure separation between customers or regions.

This capability is ideal for MSPs seeking to deliver scalable services to multiple clients or branch locations from a centralized infrastructure, while maintaining independent policy and network boundaries.

Important Limitation: Web Filter, Antivirus, and Application Filter features are not available on shared gateways. Additionally, SSL Inspection and Application Filter cannot be configured on a per-interface basis within shared gateway instances.
