This is a critical issue for us. We need to allow users on different tunnels to have DNS queries directed to different DNS servers. OR, at a minimum, we need to be able to have subdomains redirected differently from other domains (e.g., internal.mysite.com should be different then mysite.com).

It looks like this is coming! From the Beta release notes at https://support.timusnetworks.com/hc/en-us/articles/40032198128403-Release-Notes-April-25-BETA

    New Features

    Split DNS

We are excited to announce the introduction of Split DNS functionality, enhancing DNS configuration flexibility within the Timus platform. This new feature allows for the selective routing of DNS queries based on specific search domains, optimizing network performance and security.

    Benefits:

    • Optimized DNS Management: Split DNS allows users to route specific DNS queries through defined private DNS servers while using public DNS for all other traffic, ensuring more efficient and secure domain name resolution.
    • Improved Flexibility: Administrators can now define custom DNS servers for specific domains, ensuring greater control over how DNS queries are resolved within the organization.
    • Granular Configuration: Easily configure search domains and corresponding DNS servers for split DNS, providing more tailored DNS routing per site or service.

    Key Features:

    • Selective DNS Routing: Direct traffic for specific search domains to private DNS servers, while using public DNS for the rest.
    • Enhanced Control: Customize and manage DNS configurations directly within the Timus Manager for better control over domain resolution.
    • Detailed Logging: Any changes or adjustments to split DNS configurations are logged, ensuring full visibility into DNS routing changes for compliance and troubleshooting.

    Yay!
