Partner Portal – Ability to Restrict Tenant Visibility (Primary / Privileged Tenant Flag) Completed

Matt Wisler

We need the ability to restrict visibility of specific tenants within the Partner Portal.
Example: MSP technicians should be able to manage all customer tenants except a designated “primary” or “privileged” tenant such as the MSP’s own internal company.
A tenant-level flag (e.g., “Privileged Tenant”) or an exclusion option within Role & Permission groups would solve this.
At present, Partner-level roles have full visibility into all tenants, and the only workaround is using Manager-level admin accounts per tenant, which is not scalable for MSPs managing many customers.

Thank you for the feedback! This is actually addressed by our Support Connection feature, introduced with Timus Cloud 2.0.2.

You can now manage each administrator's Customer Access permissions directly from the Administrators → Edit screen, which allows you to control tenant visibility at the individual administrator level.

Can't you add administrators directly to the privileged organization with valid administrator roles, and then edit the “Timus Partner Portal” role at https://manage.timusnetworks.com/settings/administrators/roles for the privileged organization to remove most any permissions you want for users coming from the portal?  This is what we did and it seems to function properly. Technicians can administer all client environments, but they have view only access for our internal tenant. Only named admins setup on the organization have admin function in our privileged tenant.
